Kishwar Naheed has written works in various fields of Literature. Like other genres, the study of her ghazal also demand attention. Kishwar holds a unique position and status in the early female voices of Urdu. On the literary horizon, Kishwar is known as a radical poet. The beginning of Kishwar Naheed’s ghazal also encompasses traditional Love themes. The Author describes personal events, themes of love and affection in easy language. With time, Kishwar Naheed became the representative voice of women and became popular in literary circles. Her poetry is an interpreter of progressive thought. Metaphors and similes in Kishwar’s ghazal will be examined. This article will study the intellectual and artistic elements in Kishwar’s ghazal.
