Abstract

“Theology is a set of religious beliefs and the study of the nature of God. Generally, literature has deep relation to theology. In Ghalib's poetry there are many aspects that show theological interest. Syed Mashkoor Hussain Yad, a well-known exponent of Ghalib's poetry, has collected all the characteristics to be considered as theological from poetry and displayed in his commentary "Ghalib's Zouq-e-Illahiyat". In this article a comparison and critical study of the commentary "Ghalib's Zouq-e-Illahiyat" is given.”
