E. M Foster is a renowned novelist of English literature. He gave some sermons in English on the art of the novel in Trinity College. These sermons were published in book form in 1927. This book is fundamental to the criticism of the novel. Abul Kalam Qasmi translated the book into Urdu in 1992 as "Novel ka Fun". This article critically examines the Urdu translation of "Novel ka Fun". The translator has translated text into simple Urdu language but has deviated from the basic principles of translation. The translator has deliberately not translated many pages and paragraphs into Urdu. Apart from this, many English names have been written in Urdu script and somewhere they have been written English. This article put light on the standard of Urdu translation of “Aspects of the Novel”.
