Abstract

Hafeez Khan is the prominent feature of Siraiki literature. He has contributed significantly to Siraiki prosoic literature through his pen. He is not only a short stories writer but also a dramatist, critic, translator researcher, columnist and writer at the same time.He was born in 1956 at Dera Nawab Sahib, Tehsil Ahmadpur East. He received his primary education from his native town and did his graduation from Government Sadiq Egerton College, Bahawalpur. M.A History and LLB from Bahaudin Zakria University Multan also. He joined the Department of Law in 1982 as a civil Judge and served in the Department of Judiciary for 35 years.As a fiction writer, Hafeez Khan wrote more than fifty masterpiece short stories. If we read anyone of his stories, each story seems to be better than the other. New thought and new thinkings are prominent in his fiction. Initially, he wrote short stories children in the Monthly Naonihaal, education and training, daily Jang Karachi and Amroz Multan. The first collection of his fiction “Vaindi Rutt di Shaam” published in 1990, the second collection of fiction “Andar Laikh daa Saik” was published in 2004. Hafeez Khan’s Masterpiece fiction and the collection of legends illuminates Saraiki theoretical literature in the new light. His fictions, decorated with new dimensions and new ideas. There is a long list of fiction writer in Siraiki language but in list of all these the name of Hafeez Khan is prominent one. The whole of Siraiki Wasaib can be seln moving in these legends in Siraki land, social, political and cultural values of Wasaib. Human social values and ethic have been prominently highlighted. Fiction written by Hafeez Khan can be included in the list of world’s fiction. The role of these legends is prominent in the development and promotion of Siraki language and literature. Hafeez Khan’s written fictions can be placed in the list of fiction written of any local and regional or national language Hafeez Khan Fiction have its significant importance.
