A Thematic Review of Selected Fictions of Asad Muhammad Khan

Abstract

Asad Muhammad Khan is considered one of the most significant fiction writers of modern era. In his fiction human beings are portrayed free rather than caged. His fictional works cover all domains including story, plot, technique, setting, environment, cultural background, satire, social and moral ignorance. In short there is not any dimension which is not picturized in his fiction. Asad Muhammad Khan has depicted realism and symbolism in great depth and has included the problems of urban life in his stories. His stories are replete with optimism and there is no glimpse of pessimism. The culture of Muslim-India and issues of human civilization are described in his fictional works.
