Ahmad Aqeel Rubi is a well-known Urdu Writer. He has worked as Fiction writer and also as sketch writer. He has written the pen pictures of various famous writers like Mumtaz Mufti and Qateel Shifai. In these personal sketches, he has portrayed the inner traits of their personalities in a beautiful and interesting literary style. He has also written a number of Urdu short stories on different social and political topics. He has also written some novels and novelette such as ‘Adhi Sadi Ka Khawb’, ‘Banjar Daria’, ‘Chothi Duniya’ and ‘Fahyan’ etc. His novels and short stories deal with socio political issues of the society. He also covers the international political issues in particular scenario of South Asia and Sub Continent while keeping in view the particular political, social and religious circumstances of his own beloved country, Pakistan. He used various symbols and metaphors while presenting his sociopolitical thoughts in his stories. He has presented all such thoughts through such kinds of characters who belong to the surroundings of his own society. All these characters have been portrayed in a quite artistic style by Ahmad Aqeel Rubi in his novels. A special trend is found in his novels about the presentation of different religious and political aspects in symbolic style. In this article, the authors have explored such aspects in his different novels. These religious and political elements have been analyzed in this article in critical manners while quoting relevant portions of original text from his novels and novelette.
