Abstract

Dr. Tahir Taunsvi is a recognized and preeminent name of Urdu language and literature. His major filed is Urdu research a criticism. He has published more than seventy seven books in this regard. His poetry is also a denoting and eloquent part of his literary services. His collection of poetry “تو۔۔طے ہوا نا” Published in 2001 AD, has countless entitlements of theme, diction and style.Simplicity and smoothness, novelty and originality, beautiful imagery and personification, profundity and sophistication, music and melodiousness are the distinctive features of his unique poetic style which has increased the efficacy, elegance and gratification of his poetry. His poetry has the deep colors of humor and satire also, that exalt the beauty and effectiveness of style and themes. In this article, the authors have presented an analytical study of Dr. Tahir Taunsvi’s poetic style.
