Abstract

In the history of Urdu novel, "Kai Chand They Sar-e-Aasman" by Shamasur Rahman Farooqi holds distinct status in several respects. This novel, in fact is a saga of the decline of Indo-Islamic civilization, in which the writer has revived the characteristics of Indo-Islamic civilization by making a historical figure like Wazir Khanum, the protagonist of the novel. In the light of above said aspect, the scribe, has tried to present the character of Wazir Khanum in the research oriented and critical manner.
